For Publishers
Publisher Verified listing, certifying your titles, and the publisher program.
Publisher Verified listing
Imprints on our recognized publisher list have their catalogs listed from published bibliographic records, so readers searching the registry find accurate title, author, edition, and publisher data. Those records say plainly that the edition was not individually submitted or evaluated. Recognition and listing are free, cannot be purchased or expedited, and involve no evaluation of any book. Recognition criteria and the full list are published, and additions and removals are dated. Publisher Verified is transitional; it is not a substitute for certification, and we may narrow its application in a future version of the Standard.
Certifying your titles
Submit individually, or document an internal process that meets the Publisher Program requirements in the standard and submit in bulk with sampled audits. You submit; we decide. Publishers may say their process follows the Christian Book Integrity Standard; only titles with a registry record may be called certified or carry the seal.
Why publishers certify
Readers can confirm in seconds that your author is real and your citations are genuine. A QR code in every certified book resolves to its own record. As AI-generated titles multiply, a verifiable record is the simplest way to show a book is not one of them.
Publisher program requirements
- A named integrity officer responsible for compliance.
- Author identity verification equivalent to the Standard’s procedure, or delegation of that step to Christian Book Standard.
- An AI Use Disclosure collected from every author for every title, retained, and provided on submission.
- A citation and quotation checking process with records retained per title.
- An endorsement verification process.
- Agreement to the sampling rate set by Christian Book Standard (initially not less than one in five titles at full depth) and to full audit of any title flagged by sampling.
- Agreement that program status may be revoked for a pattern of failures and that revocation is noted publicly.
