For Readers
If you want to know who wrote a Christian book, whether the author is a real and accountable person, and how AI was used, search the registry.
Or visit our reader guide at RealChristianBooks.com, where you can check any book by title, author, or ISBN.
How to Read a Registry Record
Every field should tell you what kind of statement it is. The registry uses four evidence labels:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified | Christian Book Standard checked evidence under a published procedure. |
| Self-reported | The author or publisher supplied the information; the registry displays it but does not judge the answer itself. |
| Not evaluated | The field or title has not been checked under the Standard. |
| Unable to verify | Christian Book Standard attempted the defined check but could not obtain sufficient evidence. This is not automatically evidence of fraud. |
Certification is reasonable assurance under the published audit procedure, not a guarantee that every sentence or fact in a book is error-free. The record shows the audit version and the sample sizes used for source checks.
