How to Read a Registry Record

Every field should tell you what kind of statement it is. The registry uses four evidence labels:

LabelMeaning
VerifiedChristian Book Standard checked evidence under a published procedure.
Self-reportedThe author or publisher supplied the information; the registry displays it but does not judge the answer itself.
Not evaluatedThe field or title has not been checked under the Standard.
Unable to verifyChristian Book Standard attempted the defined check but could not obtain sufficient evidence. This is not automatically evidence of fraud.

Certification is reasonable assurance under the published audit procedure, not a guarantee that every sentence or fact in a book is error-free. The record shows the audit version and the sample sizes used for source checks.
