Publishers may submit in bulk; they do not decide outcomes. Fees, when introduced, pay for the audit, not the result.

We do not publish, sell, or market the books we certify. Reader reviews, wherever they appear, are never shown or counted on registry records and play no part in certification. The people who own Christian Book Standard also hold interests in other Christian publishing and retail businesses. Those businesses have no role in certification decisions, are not linked from this site, and any title they publish is submitted on public terms and marked “affiliated” on its record.

Recusal

Reviewers recuse from any title in which they have a personal or financial interest. Titles by people affiliated with Christian Book Standard are submitted on public terms and marked “affiliated” on the record.

Complaints

Anyone may file an integrity complaint against a certified record. The author is notified and may respond; a reviewer with no prior involvement decides; either party may appeal once. Outcomes are recorded. File a complaint
